Housing Stability for Renters & Homeowners

In House District 42, housing affordability impacts both renters and homeowners. Renters need stability and fair protections to stay housed, and homeowners need a market that allows working families to buy and keep homes in the communities they love.

As housing costs rise, large corporate investors purchasing homes in residential neighborhoods are making it harder for local families to compete, driving up prices and reducing long-term neighborhood stability. Housing policy must protect renters while preserving pathways to homeownership.

As Your Legislator, I Will:

  • Strengthen renter protections that promote stability, fairness, and safe living conditions

  • Support policies that prevent unfair displacement and improve transparency in rental practices

  • Examine the impact of corporate ownership of residential homes on housing costs and neighborhood stability

  • Protect opportunities for first-time and local homebuyers to compete in the housing market

  • Advance balanced housing solutions that support responsible landlords, stable homeownership, and strong communities

Housing should create security — whether you rent or own. My focus is on policies that keep families housed, protect neighborhood character, and ensure Aurora remains a place where people can put down roots and build a future.
